Authentic Jobs

Authentic Jobs is a targeted destination for web and creative professionals, and the companies seeking to hire them.

Looking for a job? Every industry should have a site like this… all the best jobs in creative industries in one place.
This has become one of the best places to look for a web job. It’s reputation has been helped by the fact it was designed and built by a great champion of the web, Cameron Moll.
A site that works as good as it looks.

Imagine being asked to design a site for design professionals.
New York based Happy Cog took it in their stride. It’s only when you start looking in depth you find some of the hidden gems. Easy to read, interesting but without being to busy. Just brilliant!

Flickr labs have been hard at work creating a way to show you some of the most awesome content on Flickr.
The best thing from a web designers point of view is being able to display photos from Flickr directly on your website.

An internet radio station that can learn what you like and adjust accordingly!
A great example of the social web. You can even listen to your friends radio stations - find out whether they are secret Barry Manilow fans!
Give it a try, you’ll be surprised.

Great use of FlickR - simple design shows off the photos in the best possible way.
It’s possible to grab photos straight from FlickR and display them on your website. This saves you time and the need for a content management system if it’s only the gallery you wish to update.
We used this method for the event galleries on STEM Sussex.

BBC Radio

The BBC websites have been a source of inspiration for many recent design updates.
More web users are moving to bigger screens with at least 1024x768 display resolution (see display statistics). The BBC has taken advantage of this and increased the width in the new designs. This is really useful if you’ve got lots of information to display.
Using sprinkle of Javascript you can view information on each of the BBC’s 12 radio stations without having to reload the page - great piece of functional design!
